Hurricane Priscilla has intensified into a Category 2 storm off the west coast of Mexico and is forecast to bring heavy rains and gusty winds to Baja California Sur.
The National Hurricane Center on Tuesday said Tropical Storm Jerry had formed in the Atlantic with a forecast it will intensify into a hurricane that could threaten the Caribbean.
The National Hurricane Center is tracking a tropical system in the central Atlantic that has a high probability of becoming a tropical depression within the next week. Environmental conditions appear favorable for development, with forecasters giving the system a 70% chance of formation within 48 hours and an 80% chance within seven days.
