Tropical Storm Priscilla has been losing punch but could still bring flash flooding to the southwestern U.S. in coming days, forecasters say.

The National Hurricane Center is tracking two tropical disturbances, including one expected to cross Florida over the weekend.

Humberto does not currently pose a direct threat to New England, with the storm being too far out for the National Hurricane Center to be predicting New England impacts. Additionally, no spaghetti models predict as of Friday morning that it will impact the region.

Humberto gained hurricane status early Friday as it churned over the Atlantic Ocean, the National Hurricane Center said.

Forecasts for early October indicate that there's almost certainly more activity to come. On Oct. 2, two new potential storms were developing.

Tropical Storm Jerry will probably be blown out to sea by a separate storm near the East Coast, which could bring significant rain, wind and wave-related impacts, particularly to the coastal Carolinas and Virginia.
