Dell is officially killing the XPS branding that’s become a mainstay for people seeking a sleek, respectable, well-priced PC.

Dell's iconic XPS brand will be retired this year, along with many of the other Dell sub-brands. But what's replacing them?

Last year's XPS 17 (9730) lived in this spot, but Dell has now gone with a 16.3-inch size panel and minimal bezel, so the whole thing is closer to 16-inches than 17. Plus, it sounds cooler.

It's out with the old, as Dell ushers in a new naming scheme for its wares, with just Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max taking ...

And Dell has spent decades putting that same work in for terms like “XPS,” “Inspiron,” and “Latitude.” Starting in 2025, though, Dell laptops and desktops will just be… Dell.
