Carlishia Hood, 35, claims she suffered immeasurable pain caused by her arrest in the shooting death of a man who was punching and threatening her this month.

Chicago mom Carlishia Hood broke down Tuesday while announcing a lawsuit over the since-dropped murder charges filed against her and her 14-year-old son for shooting dead her attacker.

The tort suit names Chicago and five police officers as defendants, and alleges malicious prosecution, false arrest and emotional distress.
