Michigan State football picked up a massive non-conference win over Boston College on Saturday night. The Spartans overcame a halftime deficit to win a double-overtime thriller over the Eagles by the final score of 42-40. The win by the Spartans pushed them to 2-0 and validated that they are at a minimum a middle-tier Big Ten team.
F or the second year in a row, the Iowa Hawkeyes suffered a painful loss to the rival Iowa State Cyclones, this time by a score of 16-13, to fall to 1-1 on the season.
