World number one Nelly Korda surges back into contention for her first US Women's Open title with a second-round score of 67 at Erin Hills.

Mao Saigo took aim at a second straight major title on Friday, firing a six-under-par 66 to grab a three-shot lead over a group including top-ranked Nelly Korda after two rounds of the US Women's Open in Wisconsin.

At 8-under 136, the 23-year-old Japanese player had a three-stroke advantage over a group of six led by top-ranked Nelly Korda.

The second major of the 2025 women's golf season is nearly upon us. A little more than a month after Mao Saigo won the Chevron Championship, some of the world's best golfers will face off in the U.S.
