After a talent-packed 23rd season, America has crowned Jamal Roberts as the next “American Idol.” The 27-year-old P.E. teacher from Meridian, Mississippi clinched the title during Sunday‘s season finale, where he faced off against fellow finalists Breanna Nix and John Foster.

After a season filled with a slew of talent, the Season 23 winner of “American Idol” is Jamal Roberts. The newly-crowned American Idol ended the show by singing “Her Heart” by Anthony Hamilton. Before a winner was announced, the “American Idol” finale included performances by the three judges who sang “Stuck on You.”
