Arsenal manager Renee Slegers has said she is "very happy" after being appointed as permanent head coach and revealed there were several moments in recent weeks where she felt that she would really like to lead the north London club.

Renée Slegers, the interim head coach of Arsenal since October 15, has finally been offered a contract and will become the ninth different permanent manager of the club.

Arsenal have confirmed Renee Slegers as their permanent head coach on a contract until the end of the 2025-26 season. Slegers, 35, stepped up from her role as assistant coach to take interim charge following Jonas Eidevall’s resignation on October 15 and has since overseen 10 wins and one draw in her 11 matches in all competitions.
