Butler (undisclosed) has been participating in training camp practices. Butler was dealing with an undisclosed injury during OTAs in May, but he appears to be past the issue and is fully participating in training camp.

An eight-year pro, Butler had a breakout season for the Raiders last year. The former Vanderbilt standout recorded a career-high 65 tackles while posting five sacks for a second consecutive campaign.

Raiders coach Pete Carroll refused to comment on the reported human relations complaint that led to the team releasing $100 million defensive tackle Christian Wilkins. Carroll said Tuesday he had nothing to add on the matter beyond his July 25 comment that the Raiders saw "no clear path to his return.
