After a morning of storms across North Texas, skies are clearing up and rain chances remain isolated.The highest chances for storms are possible during the afternoon hours along and east of I-35.Clouds will be slow to clear the rest of Thursday from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and eastward.

Precipitation totals are expected to keep climbing Thursday, increasing the risk of flooding across North Texas. Overnight, storms and showers are forecast before 1 a.m., switching to just showers after that point.

A flood watch is in effect now until Thursday evening for parts of North Texas, including Tarrant, Dallas, Parker and Rockwall counties. Wise, Denton, Collin and Red River counties aren't included in the watch.
