The men were last seen on a sandbar south of a boat ramp in Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park, about 13 miles north of Memphis.

LAKE CITY, Minn. — The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office identified the man who drowned in the Mississippi River while trying to save the life of a young girl last weekend. In a press release, the sheriff’s office said the man was Ronald John Highet, 56, of Rochester.
