Monday was the second leg of the first Knicks back-to-back of the season, after they beat the Bulls at home on Sunday. Clearly, Robinson is not ready to handle workloads on consecutive days. That means seven games into the season, Robinson has played just 33 minutes combined.
"A lot more player movement, ball movement," Knicks guard Miles McBride said of Brown's offense on Media Day. "Last year, at times, we got stagnant and we depended on a lot of isolation shots, which is tough down the stretch. This year, it's going to be a little more freedom with the movement and a lot of guys cutting, guys getting active."
It was a far cry from last season, when Tom Thibodeau’s Knicks led the NBA in starter minutes, and thus ranked dead last in bench minutes.
In the previous two seasons under coach Tom Thibodeau, the Knicks didn’t absorb a three-game losing streak until after Christmas.
