A man is facing charges after he’s accused of sending deputies in Brevard County on a high-speed chase. Deputies said Tamparree Shelton was arrested on Monday. Officials said he flew by deputies on the Beachline going nearly 100 mph.

A routine traffic stop turned dramatic and dangerous when a man tried driving through the Kennedy Space Center grounds at 100 mph, Florida investigators say. It happened after dark Monday, Feb. 17, but NASA security officers stopped the driver by popping his car’s tires, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said in a Feb. 19 news release.
