While British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was meeting with Zelensky, debris from Russian drones shot down by Ukraine's air defenses fell in Kyiv.

But Sir Keir said the current focus was on ensuring Ukraine was in a position of strength rather than any future peacekeeping mission.

Britain will play its “full part” in peacekeeping efforts in Ukraine, Sir Keir Starmer said on a visit to the country on Thursday, suggesting British troops could be used in peacekeeping forces in the event of a deal.

Sir Keir Starmer has arrived in Kyiv to sign what Downing Street is calling a "landmark 100-year partnership" with Ukraine. The pact would formalise economic and military support already pledged to the country,

The British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, assured this Thursday in Kiev that the United Kingdom will continue to support Ukraine long after its "terrible war" with Russia has ended and that country becomes "free".

The British government said Starmer and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will sign a “100-Year Partnership” treaty in Kyiv covering areas including defense, science, energy and trade. Starmer’s unannounced visit is his first trip to Ukraine since he took office in July.
