Jessie J was laughing through the pain and fear as she faced her breast cancer diagnosis. Just days after revealing she has “early” breast cancer, the singer reflected on her health journey in a new video, revealing she had undergone several breast biopsies shortly before a scheduled performance.

While Jessie has not publicly disclosed details of her treatment plan, she will presumably have the support of loved ones, including boyfriend Chanan Colman and their 2-year-old son, Sky. The toddler is the couple’s rainbow baby after a previous miscarriage.

The Grammy nominee took to Instagram to share the news because she "wanted to be open and share it” partly “because selfishly I do not talk about it enough.”
