Just one day after the Celtics traded Jaden Springer to the Houston Rockets, the 22-year-old guard will need to find a new home. Multiple reports indicate that the Rockets have elected to waive Springer after officially completing the trade with Boston on Thursday morning.

New Rockets guard Jaden Springer played one year in college at Tennessee before being drafted by 76ers and later traded to Celtics.

Boston also confirmed the terms of the deal, which was first reported one day before the NBA’s trade deadline. The Rockets received Springer, a 2030 second-round draft pick and a conditional 2027 second-round pick, with the Celtics acquiring a conditional 2031 second-rounder in return.
