In wake of Blake Perkins injury, Brewers sign Manuel Margot, Mark Canha
PHOENIX — In the wake of outfielder Blake Perkins fracturing his left shin, which likely will keep him out for the first month of the season, the Milwaukee Brewers have signed two veteran outfielders. The two-time defending NL Central champions signed Manuel Margot and Mark Canha to minor league deals with invitations to major league camp.

Canha figures to compete for a bench spot with the Brewers. In theory, he could even work himself into a timeshare with lefty-hitting outfielder Sal Frelick. That's just a theory at this point, though, and there's reason to be skeptical about Canha given his below-average power production. Teams generally want more thump from their corner players.
