It once housed some of the most dangerous criminals, Alcatraz could soon be back in business as the Trump administration eyes plans to revive the notorious prison.
Days after criticism from residents, an Ohio jail tried to create its own version of Florida's "Alligator Alcatraz."
"Immediate action was taken to separate and remove the detainee in accordance with federal protocols," said Stephanie Hartman, a spokeswoman for the Florida Division of Emergency Management, which oversees the site.
Enzo Aspite, held at a controversial Florida detention site, describes overcrowding, poor sanitation, and lack of medical care. State officials deny the claims.
