Philadelphia's mayor has honored actor and producer Quinta Brunson with a key to the city in a ceremony dedicating a separate mural at Brunson’s alma mater, which was the inspiration for her award-winning show “Abbott Elementary.

It’s a full circle moment for Quinta Brunson at her alma mater, the Andrew Hamilton School, in West Philadelphia. The actor and producer was honored with the key to the city, given by Philadelphia’s mayor in a ceremony Wednesday that also dedicated a separate mural at the school.

Abbott Elementary creator and star Quinta Brunson just received a key to the city of Philadelphia. Mayor Parker presented the key during a mural arts dedication ceremony at Andrew Hamilton School in West Philly.
