TV, the Missouri Senate ended its annual session on Wednesday without taking action on a bill to fund the renovation of the Chiefs' home venue — and to build a new stadium for baseball's Royals. The House of Representatives passed a stadium funding bill earlier in the week.

The sweeping stadium funding plan, Missouri’s first major retaliatory shot against Kansas, now heads to the Missouri Senate.

Some legislators in both chambers objected to the move since the House unexpectedly failed to pass the part of the budget funding capital improvement projects across the state last week.
